How to Remove Malware – Infected Site Guide

STEP 9: Clear Browser and Site Cache

We’re nearing the end. Before we continue, we want to make sure we’re seeing the site in its most current state. Therefore, we need to clear both our browser and site cache.

Browser Cache – within the browser you are using, determine how to clear your cache. You can Google search for how to clear cache for Safari, Chrome, etc. for your respective browser. The point here is that this needs to be done. Delete all the cookies and browsing data from the browser.

Site Cache – if you are/were running a Cache plugin such as W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache, please go to the plugin’s settings and empty cache from there.

Only upon completing this step, should you continue forward.
